Christmas 2010

Just a few pics to remember Christmas 2010. Christmas was a ton of fun for the kids ... not so much for the adults considering we had the virus from hell making the rounds. Every single person in my family had it the week leading up to Christmas and I'm not talking about all in one day to get it over and done with. No mam! I'm talking each kid on a different day and Parker and I had it together. All he wanted was for me to rock him so when I wasn't praying over Brother John I was rocking my poor, pathetic 6 month old baby who couldn't keep anything down. Virus for grown ups blow ~ virus for 6 month old baby is down right scary. I still feel bad for that kid. But then Christmas Eve night rolls around and the virus from hell makes its way to the Joshua Jay and that guy was out of commission. Notice there is not that many pics of Christmas ~ for 2010 our memories will consist of some sad home videos from Josh laying on the couch while the kids had Christmas around their sad, pathetic, weak from the virus from hell ridden parents.

Thanksgiving 2010 in Utah

Thanksgiving in Utah was everything Thanksgiving should be; Thanksgiving dinner with family, cousins getting to know each other again, meeting a new niece, family getting to meet Parker, Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Black Friday shopping with Jim and Chantelle (some seriously funny times at ridiculously early hours), dinner with great friends, playing in snow, early Christmas with Josh's family, attending baby blessing for Abby and wrapping everything up with Utah beating BYU... who could ask for a better Thanksgiving! Now if the plane rides to and from had been that smooth maybe we could travel more often but we learned that the "friendly skies" are just not ready for the Riches.... insert dramatic sigh here ...

Fall 2010

We're going to try the blogging thing all over again ~ I know, I know I've taken a year off but it's not like I haven't been doing anything people. Dealing with 4 children who all came in 5 years and a husband who is getting his MBA on top of working and making time for everything else is exhausting. So, naturally blogging didn't make the cut but we're starting over. Since this is also are pathetic version of documenting our life for our kids I'm going to keep going with the seasons until I catch up. So, this is what we were doing a year ago ... this is Davis' first day of Kindergarten. Tomorrow Davis will be starting the 1st grade ~ yea so shameful...

The cutest Kindergartener EVER

Addison's First day of Preschool

Last fall we spent alot of time in Columbia with the Hilton's. That won't be happening this year because they decided to up and move back to Utah and no I'm not bitter! Our time together revolved around the Utes football schedule so Josh and Jer could watch games together. We decided to go the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia one weekend and we'll be forever grateful for the Hilton's introducing us to the free refill slurpees:)

Watching the creepy eels ~ seriously hate those things

Daddy listen to me!

For part of Addi's 4th birthday we had a mommy/daughter date at Disney Princesses on Ice. Addi's favorite dwarf by far is Grumpy because ... well if you know Addi no explantion needed

Cute girl

She's a really fun date

Next we spent Halloween back in Columbia with the Hilton's.

Cute ninja boy

Next up was Addi's b-day party at Chuck E. Cheese w/ preschool friends

Parker slept thru the whole thing - absolutely the BEST baby

I spent $50+ dollars for her to do nothing but pump one token after another in this blessed horse. She will not get off regardless of how many kids are forming a line behind her. She honestly believes that this is HER horse!

Doesn't she look like she's up to something?

Summer 2010

Continuing on into the Summer...

On June 13th Parker Jay joined our family and I spent the majority of the summer at home with him and Anna recovering from surgery. Anna is 19 months now and she is the wildest baby I've had yet. That age is just hard to do things but that age and being Anna is just another story. Davis and Addison still managed to have a great summer and do lots of fun things thanks to friends and family who would come and take them to the beach, the pool, the movies and getting to spend many nights with Mimi and Papa.

Anna loves to climb. Before she learned how to drag the chair out from under the table to wherever she was trying to go - she would climb into the chair still tucked under the table and get stuck and start screaming. Before I would help her I wanted to grab a few pics to show her how ridiculous she was when she gets older.

Davis and Addi at the beach ~

While they were at the beach, we were doing this ~

Love the fact that these two are becoming so close. Addi pretty much ignored Anna for the first 9 months of her life but since having Parker she will go sit by him and I'll hear her talking to him or singing to him. She calls him "the Parkster" but you have to say Parkster in your best Boston accent. But if you ask her what her name is she says "Miss Addi Belle Wiches" in the deepest southern accent like she hails from backwoods Kentucky.

He is honestly the sweetest baby. He sleeps all the time and practically is sleeping thru the night now. He goes down about 9pm and sleeps until around 5am - the best sleeper. I think if you have 4 in 5 years you are entitled to a good baby especially after battling a round of severe colic and massive reflux.

The first weekend in August we were able to have the Donaldson's come visit from Florida to be apart of Parker's blessing. We spent the weekend at the pool, eating, playing, meeting the Dono's new dog Kaia, going to the beach and blessing Parker. What a sweet special blessing Parker was given. I absolutely LOVE baby blessings. I cry everytime I hear one especially my own babies blessing - they are so optimistic, hopeful and I always look forward to the future without worrying about my kids because I've just been reassured that things are end up ok.

I'm not sure if Heath is talking to the dog or Addi here?
